I bought these shoes for my father in law who has Parkinson's Disease. Tying his shoes has become a challenge so I thought these would work great for him. He loves them because they are easy to get on and comfortable. The sole of the shoe is tougher than normal crocs so are great outside when he is on the farm checking his cows, etc.

Best Crocs I've ever had
Date:11/28/11
I've had about six or eight pair of Crocs over the years, and these are definitely the best. Their sole is thicker and firmer than the average Croc, the fit is fantastic, and the sole had more traction than usual. I just came to the site specifically to order a couple more pair, just in case they get discontinued, and found that my size is out of stock. Doh! Am I too late? Or maybe they're just not seasonal. I'll keep checking back . . .

I bought it for my husband, he really likes them. He is using them everyday, to do the everyday things. He works on yachts, so these are. Good buy for him. I bought one size bigger and it fits better.

Backcountry camping
Date:10/10/11
I took these Crocs on a backcountry trek around Mont Blanc Massif in France. They were my second pair of shoes I took on the trip besides my rugged hiking boots. They are great for water crossings because you can cinch down the velcro heel strap so that you won't loose them in the water. They can be wiped out to dry immediately. The souls were rugged enough to withstand rocky terrain around camp and even hike in if you have to. They were a great alternative when I wanted to get out of my hiking boots. They are helpful if you get blisters (I didn't on this trip but have in the past). They keep your feet warm and dry in colder climates. They are terrific in the shower if the shower floor is not too inviting. I wish they were a little lighter for a 10 day trip but that is the only complaint I had about them. I am guessing you would sacrifice hardiness and rugged soles for lesser weight and I wouldn't want to do that. They are just a bit heavier than Beach Crocs. If you buy them make sure you have a way to strap them onto your pack because they can take up a lot of room inside your pack, or just leave the other stuff at home.

Best Shoes Ever
Date:8/13/11
Got lucky one weekend and found these on sale for half price , so I jumped on the chance to buy the absolute best pair of Crocs you can find. The new bottoms are extra nice and durable and make for nice traction in the rain. I would recommend this pair of Crocs to the Die Hard Crocs fan!!!They will last!!

Ordered this shoe for my daughter and she loves it. This shoe fits her perfect and she has a narrow foot. The shoe looks good on her feet and I will order her another pair soon.

I've only had the ace for a week, but I am satisfied with their comfort and and like the traction soles. glad they have the adjustable straps, because they would be too large, and fall off my feet. I have non diabetic neuropathy, and can't feel most of my feet, so the straps are needed. I hope the velcro and the straps will last as long as the shoe.

Reluctant Husband Won Over
Date:6/27/11
My husband was extremely reluctant to try Crocs because of some foot disfigurement from an earlier accident. Rarely is he able to find footwear that doesn't irritate certain areas. He tried the Crocs Ace Boaters at my insistence - grumbling all the way - at first with socks and admitted they "weren't bad". Within a day, he was wearing them without socks and agreed they were light, very comfortable, and didn't irritate his feet. You've won over another customer, Crocs!

GREAT Shoe
Date:6/7/11
Yes it's a good shoe. Yes it wears well. Yes it's comfortable. Why else would I have bought 5 pairs already?!? I was very disappointed to hear that the camo-boat shoe was going to be discontinued, though. I work in a wet greenhouse environment all day and the sole on this shoe is VERY important. I looked for a few years and tried a dozen different shoes. This one--for me-- is the best non-slip option I've found. I only get about 1 year out of them with constant wear.

Good experience as always

As usual ordering online from Croc's was a satisfying experience. The Ace Boating is a great and sharp looking product. The additional traction is a noticeable plus! Look forward to trying them on the boat.

So, I just re-discovered my first pair of crocs, 'beach', and fell in love with them. My wife had bought me them several years ago and I never gave them much attention. But due to injuries and middle age I though I'ld give them a try, and I loved them. I had to have others. The boating crocs fit my needs nicely. I like ready to go stuff in all weather, so the nonslip bottoms are nice. I live near the water and conditions can change accordingly. The only disadvantage to the older crocs were the slippery bottoms, so the additional nonslip bottom is much welcomed. The only downside is that the footbed isn't as soft as my 'beach' crocs. Maybe they will break-in. I do recommend this croc.

Good Shoe for the Boat
Date:4/14/11
I read the reviews prior to purchasing these shoes and am not sorry I made the purchase. While I have a narrow foot, the shoes are ok for my foot, and should fit a D width. I wear a size 11, but size 10 fit me fine as they tend to run a little large. I have a friend who wears a 14, and the 13's which is the largest size they make, fit him ok too. The non-slip sole is just that, non-slip, unlike some of their other shoe soles (including their Mesa Fisherman model, which is a more comfortable shoe than the Ace, but does not have as good of a non-slip sole). I do not wear these shoes off of the boat as I do not want the non-slip sole to wear down.

First pair of Crocs, expecting too much I guess
Date:4/6/11
Shoe fits so-so, too large without socks, good fit with socks. Bought as shower shoe, works well enough, velcro a bit hard to work with and once adjusted leaves straps floppy feeling, nice width, definitley non slip as advertised

Rigid construction
Date:3/30/11
We just recently purchased these Crocs, but have a family collection of others! They seem to run true to size, seem to be quite comfortable, but they are a bit more 'rigid' then we're used to. I guess the true test will come on slippery surfaces while fishing this summer. Sure hope they work out - we do love Crocs!

They fit me a bit small and tight, I've never had a problems with crocs. I hope they strech out a bit so I can enjoy them like I've with all of my other crocs.

Horrible shoe
Date:1/19/11
I'm a huge fan of the crocs. I've had the same pair for years and love them!! I recently bought the Ace Boating and I regret ever doing so. These things are hard as a rock!! They are very uncomfortable and feel more like a hard clog than a soft boating shoe.

my favourite shoe
Date:12/31/10
Very comfortable and exptremely good on slippery surfaces. Excellent cushioning at heel. Have worn them in very harsh conditions for two years and there is no evidence of wear and tear. Adore these shoes.
